Club Activities:

As a not-for-profit, charitable organization, supporting promising young musicians through scholarships is one of the main activities of the Saturday Club. In addition, there are many other musical and social activities.

Each month during the season, members of the club perform in an hour long concert held at a member’s home. There are normally two performers or groups per evening. A relaxing and enjoyable social hour follows each home performance with refreshments and mingling.

Highlights Of The Season

  • Every year, the season kicks off with the Oktoberfest – a fun potluck party filled with German beer, German food and German music.
  • In December, the annual Christmas party is held at the lovely Whitter Ranch, full of holiday scents, foods and treats. Music is often provided by stringed instruments or baroque woodwinds with plenty of time for carols.
  • Performers from the Saturday Club hold a much anticipated annual public concert through the Crocker Classical Music series.
  • Every two years the club hosts the Bertha Stever/Pascal Monk Memorial Auditions, open to students age 17-26 from Sacramento and adjoining counties. Click here for more information on music scholarships.
